PDP: 20 APPLY FOR BOT CHAIRMANSHIP

The Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees (BoT), Senator Walid Jubrin, has said that no less than 20 persons, including members and non members have indicated interest to vie for the chairmanship of the board, a position that became vacant with the resignation of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.

Fuel subsidy: Jonathan seeks Senate’s approval of additional N161.6bn

The lastest news was that the president(President Goodluck Jonathan ) has requested the Senate's approval of  N161.6 billion  as fuel subsidy under a  supplementary budget for 2012.

  The request was contained  in a letter  he sent to the Senate and  read by Senate President  David Mark on Tuesday.
